§ II — About this event

From Sound to Thread.

An experimental workshop between flute, perception and textile creation

With Bela Álvarez (visual arts) and Moriana Krause (flute)

How does a sound turn into a line? How can breath, movement and silence become a trace of your own?

In this experimental workshop, music and textile art meet. Starting from the sounds of the flute, silence and the awareness of your own breath, we explore rhythms and transitions with needle and thread.

Moriana extends the acoustic sound of the flute with simple electronic and experimental elements. Noises, effects and musical motifs weave together into an open soundscape that accompanies the stitching.

Like a river in constant flow, each participant goes through their own creative process: while sounds arise, change and fade away, we meet the fabric to capture impressions intuitively with stitches and colored threads.

Together we create an open space where listening, breathing, feeling and creating interweave. We are not looking for a predetermined result, but for the freedom to experiment with different forms of expression and to give visible form to what we perceive.

If you book by the day before, it's 30 € per person, or 56 € for two coming together. You're also welcome to join us on the day itself for 33 €. We need at least 7 people for the workshop to go ahead; if fewer join us, we'll cancel it and refund every booking in full. Everything you need (fabric, thread, needles) is already there.

A meeting at the intersection of music and visual art: from listening to creating, from sound to thread.
