ROSCO didn't come from a toy factory. He came from sketchbooks filled at 3am, from the spirit of wheatpaste and limited runs and the hours it takes to get a polygon right.
He's built from deliberate polygon, standing upright with his snout raised and arms back, the stance of someone who just finished something. Every facet is intentional, every angle load-bearing. The bow tie is his signature, the detail that marks the piece as his.
Body color and bow tie color are always chosen independently, with no fixed pairings, so each piece becomes its own combination. Some pairings sit close together, others clash on purpose, and that contrast is as much a part of the appeal as the shape itself.
ROSCO never appears the same way twice. He turns up as whatever the moment offers: cloud, a metallic balloon, sand, and, in this form, vinyl. He was the project that started everything for us, designed in Germany, produced in Mexico, made between worlds before that was even a motto.
That same idea now lives outside the illustrations too. A few blank ROSCOs have been handed to other artists to paint and customize, no two pieces alike, each one another hand's answer to the same question of what he could become next. It's the kind of DIY custom culture vinyl toys have always carried, and it's still growing.
